Workout Summary: Bike 54 (5390 ascent/3:50 time)

Rode with group from home. Good ride, plenty of hills. Couple of short grades upwards of 20%...a little but ridiculous for me, turning over at 30 cadence at 2.5 mph for a 30 second stretch, HR at 160.

I tried to keep the rate down but perceived effort was in effect too. Spinning up the final 800 ft hill over a mile or so, HR sitting in mid 150's even though I am in my 39/25 spinning a slow 50 rpm. Not much more I could do. In 39/25 because it was the only gear I could handle by the end of this ride. Good amount of torture for me.

At home, watching Gant walk in with a blank stare of disbelief was all I needed to confirm this was a good ride. Oh yeah...sunny and 40. 25 mph steady wind with some bigger gusts. Seemed to be hitting us at the front and side most of the way.

2 = 20% (46')
3 = 13% (30')
4 = 16.5% (38')
5a = 7% (17')
5b = 6% (13')
5c = 14.5% (33') OK, this is WAY too much time in my highest zone. All I can say is perceived effort means alot..I wasnt pushing that hard except for about 5 minutes total minutes on 3 of the bigger climbs.

Friday, all I did was a 30 min. yoga routine. Still entertaining potential partner in our corp. 3 days of that this week killed my routine. Some things take priority though this early in the season.
