Running easy...but pain free

Workout Summary: Run 10 (75')/Swim 1K (18')

Man, my first 10 miler since Kona and I was able to run pain free. I feel so much better mentally when I am running.
My dad got me running when I was 8. Broke my first school record when I was 9, broke all distance records in Junior High. High school...still, after 22 years, hold the 5K cross country school record of 15:18. 7 Varsity letters in my Div 1 college, etc etc.
I am not bragging...just making a point. Above all else, I am a runner. It's my identity. When I go long stretches without running, it hurts me.
I ran with my Dad in California on our big week last week, second time we've run together since I have been in High School. Jogging with the man who gave me this identity...that just melted all my stress away. Running with my wife again, man I cant tell you how it makes me feel.

On my 10 mile treadmill run: first mile in 8, next 7 in 7:30, final 2 in 7:15.
Stayed in zone 1 (below HR 128) for the first 8 miles, and jumping to 7:15 took me a few beats above.
After run, only had 30 minutes...so I jumped in the pool and swam a continuous 1000 meter easy, 18 minutes.
