Hill Intervals #9

Workout Summary: pm hill intervals, 9 miles (71')

morning off: meeting


afternoon hills : Mt tabor, each hill repeat 320 ft, mix of stairs, trail and road. Right quad blew out a bit on second hill. Got up the third but had to stop after 3.
Hill 1 = 4:30 (shorter route) HR ave 134 (Zone 3), max 153 (zone 5a)
Hill 2 = 5:20, HR ave 141 (top of 3), max 157 (zone 5b)
Hill 3 = 5:50 (longer route) HR ave 141, max 155

Total time for run, 71'
Quad pretty sore at end of run. We'll see tomorrow.

Diet:
breakfast: 1 grapefruit, few grapes, 2 cups caffeine free herbal tea.
Lunch: Thai wheat noodles with grilled chicken, light oil. cabbage salad, fortune cookie, water
Afternoon: med. coffee and cliff protein bar.
Dinner: fish taco, pile of sweet potatoe fries, water, sprite.
