Recovery day: Yoga morning/ 4K Swim in evening

Found this photo on the net from King's Valley road race last weekend. I was pretty happy
with this one, 56 miles in 2:31 on 3000 ft climbing. Even though I was DQ'd just after the first lap, I was forced to drop off the pack and bike virually alone for 34 miles. Still averaged 21.8 mph and finished just over 3 minutes behind the leaders.

This morning? Legs blown. That overwhelming fatigue, everything diffusely tired. Man that feels good. So, Yoga for 45 minutes. This helped. Tonight is a long continuous swim. Run? Priority is rest, but we'll see how my legs feel. Yeah, I'm 41...I know a bit about over training and blowing yourself up. I wont do it. Going into a race slightly under-trained vs slightly over-trained? The slightly under-trained athlete will almost always prevail.

Swim 4000 meters: Continuous, 1:13
1:09.30 at 3800 (IM distance) mark.
Felt nice and steady, never really worked. Breathed every 3rd first 2k.
