Big Week, Day 1

Workout Summary: Run 16/swim 1200 meter

Got my Zone summary up on last blog for tuesdays intervals. Looks better than I thought, very similar time spent in all major HR zones. Happy about that.

Run 16 easy, 2:11
Legs pretty trashed. Hamstrings both tight. Kept it easy the whole way.

Then:
4 hour swim clinic on free style and open water skills with Bob Bruce, Bend and US national coach. Good clinic, learned more about my stroke. Included underwater video and lecture, then pool work. About 1200 meters in the pool.

Took yesterday, friday off. Still not fully recovered from Florida. I really pushed that bike hard.

Diet:
Breakfast: 3 big banana pancakes, water
Lunch: water, 1 bite of a vegi sandwich on the way to swim clinic. During clinic, some fruit and vegies, 1/2 of an oatmeal cookie.
Cup coffee after clinic.
