*Really tempted to do a slow run. Will wait until tomorrow.

Showed my MRI to one of our Musculoskeletal radiologists today. I do have tendonitis of my lower achilles, causing all the fluid deep to the tendon. I have used ice-heat-ice treatment today for about 90 minutes again. Achilles feels a bit better but still sore to walk.

So, what to do. I may try to run longer tonight, very slow, just to get some distance on my hamstrings. Plan was to rest the leg one day and swim tonight. However, I may get a corticosteroid injection tomorrow, so I could get the run in now. Ten days prior to the event is at the border for competing following an injection, so I think the sooner the better so the tendon hopefully may be feeling better next week.

Why run at all? I dont know. I still have a shot of a PR I think. I have probably lost a good 20 minutes off my marathon split seeing as I have only run 8 miles in the past 2 weeks.
If I can sustain slow but long run tonight, that should hold me off to the race. Plan is to bike monday, possibly run easy, so getting the injection thursday of this week leaves a few days recovery.

My appetite is coming back a bit...I presume from the 130 or so miles of quality cycling over the past 3 days.
