Workout Summary: Swim 3000 meters (58 min)
First time in the 25 meter pool at the MAC club. Nice to swim in a pool with only 1 other person in the entire pool.
500 pull wu
24 X 100 on 2 min. cycle. These were broken up into 4 sets of 6, each pair like the following:
2 X 100 free
2 X 100 pull
2 X 100 paddles (1 with pull bouy)
100 mixed stroke cd
*This, esp the paddles, tired my arms and lats out significantly.
No run. I am 3 days into a 4 day oral steroid (corticosteroid) dosing for my hamstring. I am totally pain free as of this morning. I am not stretching or running for the next few days...we'll see if this helps. Still planning the direct injection into the tendon first week of January.
Diet:
Breakfast: med. coffee
Lunch: bowl of vegi chili, 2 oz bag kettle chips, 1 apple, sierra mist soft drink
Afternoon: non fat latte
Dinner: grill cheese on wheat, bowl of chicken noodle soup, cranberry juice. 2 small squares of dark chocolate before bed.
Man...have mercy!
I did modest spin for 2 hrs on sunday, then nothing on Christmas day. Missed my planned morning workout today because I tossed and turned all night. Gotta get it together man!
Diet on Christmas?
Breakfast: 1 wheat english muffin with jam, glass juice
Lunch: Met out Rob and Erin P and Grant F for brunch. Had salmon with corn relish, side of rice, some greasy apps of shrimp and calamari. 2 glasses of wine and a spanish coffee for dessert.
Evening: small bowl of shredded wheat, small piece of a dark chocolate bar.
