Workout Summary: Bike 80 miles (5:30/4800 ft)
80 degrees and Sunny!
Good ride today, most of the climbing in the middle 50 miles. Rode out from the coast pretty flat for 15 out and back. Rode into a few canyons and some huge climbs, esp on the way back. Legs are pretty much toast, so I decided not to run off the bike. Over 300 on the bike in a week is alot for me since I have only biked 120-30 miles the past 2 weeks. This week has "lit the fire" though, and I feel after a bit of rest I am ready to train more focused.
Diet:
Breakfast: 1 cup oatmeal and wheat bagel with honey. 1 cup skim milk, 1 cup coffee.
Ride: 2, 30 oz bottles of nutrition, each with 150 grams maltodextrin. Recovery, the usual: 75 grams maltodextrin + 25 g proteitn + 10 g glutamine.
