Bike race: King's Valley

Workout Summary: Bike 71 (3:25)

Raced at King's Valley, 55.5 miles
Got DQ'd at 21 miles. Passing on left and guy pushed me out beyond the center like. What a dick.
To avoid locking bars and crashing, I jerked my bike to the left, right in front of an official and that was it. I felt strong, kept going and biked the final 2 loops on my own and pulling a group of 4.
Finished the 55.5 in 2:31. Quite hilly and windy on the straights. 2900 ft of climbing on the course.
Warmed up 3 miles in 12 minutes, and cooled down 13 miles in 45 min.
Overall, legs felt good. I am getting fairly strong. I was able to attack a couple of times before my dq and I felt like I was one of the stronger in the field. When I got dq'd, our front pack of around 20 had dropped the other 20 riders and I think I would have been right in there for the 1K uphill finish. Things for a reason? They forced me to drop off the front field with my dq but I heard there was a crash involving around 10 riders about 30 minutes later. Who knows...maybe I would have been involved in that crash...
