Workout Summary: a.m. yoga (45')
I guess it's the holiday's? I dont usually think about my work and try to treat it as a job. Thats how you deal with it or be depressed all the time. I injected chemotherapy into the cerebral spinal fluid of a person today, using their low back as a portal for the injection into the spinal column. This allows equal distribution of agent throughout the spine and brain. This person was young, with cancer that has spread to the spinal cord and brain. Their only question for me was if the needle will sting or not. I padded them on the shoulder and said "dont worry, I will give you more than enough lidocaine, and it will be over before you know it".
As I am injecting the flourescent green agent into the spinal fluid I really thought...We have an aweful lot to be thankful for as healthy athletes, going through our day-day lives with only having to juggle workouts, our jobs, and family. I am thinking on how to deal with my hamstring, they are worried about staying alive another month, so they dont die so close to the holiday's for their family's sake. I thought I was strong. So many people are stronger.
Bought a sports specific yoga DVD, for bike/run/swim
Did the stretching routine which took 45 minutes, 6:30 am. By 11 am, my legs are sore. Guess I will have to incorporate this into my routine 2-3 times per week.
No workout in afternoon. Had first meeting at the althletic club to organize the MAC triathlon team for 2007. Meeting until around 8pm + tour of club.
