Where the hell have I been? Hamstring hurting yes, as always. Bothering me after the last spin the next morning. Now starting to hurt while kicking in the swim. I took 5 straight days off, and now its been about 12 days since running.

The good news is this. I had yet another MRI on my hamstring yesterday....on the left. Can you see the abnormality? I can!

So, there may be hope. I'm getting an injection of steroid directly into the lateral tendon today at noon. The good news is that there is actually an abnormality to inject. Before kona, there was nothing to inject...no specific finding. Now there is. I ran 3 miles this mornng on the TM to "flare it up some more"...the more active fluid I have in the bursa, the more likely the orthopod will be able to get into the tendonous sheath, so the steroid can directly act on the injury.

We changed our work schedule so now, once per week, I have to work 8am -10 pm. So, like today, I will only get a short morning workout on these days.

6:30 am: Run 3 (23:30) on TM. First mile 8:30, second 7:30, then a 1/2 mile at 6:40 pace. Cooled down 1/2 mile at 8:15 pace. Ham hurt, but I wanted to flare it up.
