Workout Summary: Bike 38 (2:30, 2100 ft ascent)
First ride outdoors. Nice day, cloudy and no rain. 15 Ironheads showed. Kelly H hosted the ride.
Felt ok. Hamstring tends to feel better standing in a lower cadence on the hills. The back edge of the seat bothered me a bit. Overall though, only 1-2 out of 10 scale pain. Not too bad.
HR
I hit my max at 165 on the climb up the cemetery toward the end of the ride. Pushed pretty hard. I can use this to calculate my zones. It will be similar to last year although my max is higher this year by around 5 beats.
HR ave 117 (just over zone 1)
Diet:
Bagel for breakfast, small coffee
After ride: 2 wheat english muffins with thin layer of peanut butter, juice and small coffee. Water
Dinner: Ann made burritos, low fat beef, no cheese. tomato, onion, jalapenos. 3 beers throughout the evening. 1/2 of a reeses bar before bed for snack.
